On May 24th, 2012, Facebook launched Facebook Camera, a new mobile application, that looks eerily similar to Instagram, the company that they recently purchased for $1 billion. Like Instagram, the new Facebook Camera application allows users to add cool filters and crop pictures. This is my favorite Instagram feature and I look forward to testing it out.
Check out your friend’s photos in one place
After launching the application, you can check out all of your friends’ photos in one simple interface. You use the swiping motion to see more of a particular album or tap to enlarge photos. Simple.
Unlike Instagram, you can share multiple photos quickly using Facebook’s new Camera app. Select the photos you want by tapping the check-mark and then hit post. You can also add a caption, say where you are and tag friends before posting. Another plus! You can also see photos from different camera apps that you friends use. Way to go Facebook!
Are you interested in downloading the new Facebook Camera App? Check out iTunes to get the app for your iPhone, iPad and/or iPod Touch.
